For more than 60 years, Redfest has been bringing the Redlands community together to celebrate everything that makes our region special. What began in 1953 as a local strawberry festival has grown into one of the Redlands Coast’s longest-running and most loved community events, while staying true to its original purpose—bringing people together through community, entertainment, food and local culture.
Born from the rich agricultural history of the Redlands, Redfest was created to celebrate the region’s thriving strawberry industry and the hardworking farming families who helped shape our community. Over the decades, the festival has evolved alongside the Redlands, growing from a local celebration into a vibrant annual event that attracts thousands of visitors from across South East Queensland.
Today, Redfest is proudly presented by Redland Spring Festival Inc., a not-for-profit organisation powered by a dedicated committee and hundreds of passionate volunteers. Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship secured and every volunteer hour contributes directly to delivering an event that benefits the entire community.
While our roots remain firmly planted in Redlands’ farming heritage, today’s Redfest offers something for everyone. Across an exciting weekend, you’ll discover live entertainment, local musicians, community performers, delicious food, market stalls, family attractions, kids’ activities, sideshow alley, spectacular fireworks and, of course, our famous strawberry traditions that honour where it all began.
More than just a festival, Redfest is a platform for local talent, community organisations, schools, artists, businesses and volunteers to showcase what makes the Redlands Coast such a vibrant place to live. We believe in creating opportunities for emerging performers, supporting local businesses and strengthening the connections that make our community unique.
As we continue writing the next chapter of Redfest, our vision is simple: to honour our proud history while creating new traditions for future generations. Whether you’ve been attending for decades or you’re visiting for the very first time, you’re part of the Redfest story.
We can’t wait to welcome you to celebrate with us.
